A Difficult Day for the Fireworks Industry – What This Means for the 2025 Season

Written on .

It is with great sadness that we share news of a tragic event that will have a profound impact on the global fireworks industry this year.

Earlier this week, a devastating explosion occurred at a fireworks factory in China, resulting in the loss of nine lives. Our deepest sympathies go out to the families of those who passed and to all who have been affected by this heartbreaking incident. The full details of the event can be found in this article.

In response to the tragedy, the Chinese government has announced the imminent closure of all fireworks factories across the country. These factories are not expected to reopen until September 2025, which will have significant implications for supply worldwide.

What This Means for Our Customers

At Hallmark Fireworks, we’ve been fortunate. Thanks to early planning and strong partnerships, 90% of our product range has already been manufactured and is either en route or in our warehouse.

However, many other wholesalers are not as well prepared, and we anticipate a sharp increase in demand as supply tightens across the market.

To manage this surge and ensure fair distribution, we will be operating on a first come, first served basis for all orders. Deposits will be required to confirm and secure your stock.

At Hallmark, our mission remains the same: to support our customers, fulfill your needs, and keep your business moving forward. We encourage you to place your orders as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.

You can view our catalogue here plus download our order form right here.

If you have any questions or require assistance with your order, our team is here and ready to help.

Thank you for your continued support.
